Fancy It Up - video tutorial

Hello and welcome to my Blog! The Fancy It Up method uses embossing folders and markers to enhance flat, one dimensional die cuts and Cricut images. Use whatever you have to add multi-dimensional details to even the most blah cutouts. Join me as I demonstrate my quick and simple "Fancy It Up" techniques.

Supplies:

  • Card base 5" x 7" and envelope

    • Multi colored dots mat 5" x 7"

    • Pink polka dots mat 4 1/2" x 6 1/2"

  • Cricut "To You From Me" Birthday cake and layers cut at 6"

  • "Happy Birthday" dies (unknown manufacturer)

  • "Wishing you a big slice of happiness" clear stamp by Crafter's Companion

  • "Flourish" border embossing folder by Darice

  • "Diagonal Stripe" embossing folder by Darice

  • Sizzix Texture Boutique

  • Sizzix Big Shot die cutting machine

  • Mini Misti stamping platform

  • Versacolor Dark brown ink

  • Markers for shading

  • Silicone mat (I use a round, microwave silicone mat found in kitchen sections)

  • Westcott Carbo Titanium Non-stick scissors

  • Foam tape

  • Ad tech Crafter's Tape permanent tape runner

  • Aleene's Tacky Glue
