Shaker Card with Inlaid Bee - video tutorial

Hello and welcome to my Blog! This tutorial has lots of tips and tricks that can be used for any type of card. While the video is a bit longer than usual, it is FULL of visual examples like using a crayon to enhance dry embossed paper, using contact paper to easily inlay colored paper on a basic image, etc... Shakers are fun, interactive cards and the bee and flowers make this one hard to resist. Watch the video below to see how to make this card. Scroll down for a list of supplies and card dimensions.

Supplies:

  • 5" x 7" card and envelope

  • Card stock for mats and the decorative elements

  • Scrap piece of Acetate

  • Firefly Stamp & Cut (stamps and dies)

  • Penny Black rubber stampe (inside sentiment)

  • Darice "Honeycomb Background" embossing folder

  • Spellbinders Circle Dies (2 5/8" x 3 1/8")

  • Contact paper

  • Foam Tape

  • Crayon

  • Markers

  • Gelly Roll White pen

  • Sequins

  • Mini Misti Stamping Platform

  • Sizzix Texture Boutique (embossing)

  • Sizzix Big Shot (die cutting)


Card dimensions:

  • 5" x 7" card base

    • Black mat 4 3/4" x 6 3/4"

    • Yellow mat 4 1/4" x 6 1/4"
