Hello and welcome. Sometimes your heart is too heavy for words... Today's video is set to music so that I can still share a project with you without having to speak during the tutorial. I really enjoy the free reign of creativity centered on the premise of recycle, reuse and repurpose. One day as I was preparing to discard a tissue box, I noticed the colors, patterns and beauty of the packaging and I thought about ways I could possibly upcycle the box. Well, long story, short, I decided to create a bookmark and I've been hooked ever since that day. Now, when I buy boxes of tissues, I study the packaging with an eye toward how it will look when it gets repurposed into a bookmark. I urge you to really "see" everyday disposables and try to reimagine how they could be given a second life rather than being discarded. This practice is even more rewarding when the final product is shared with others. Just click on the video below to see how this bookmark was made!
